The Beat Goes On: A Song & Dance Concert

From the Andrews Sisters and Glenn Miller Band to the Beatles and Billy Joel, audiences will enjoy tap, jazz, ballet, musical theatre, live singing, contemporary, and hip hop throughout the course of this concert. Performed by over 100 students ages 3-19, the concert features gorgeous hand-picked costumes, classic music, and beautiful stories told through song and dance. The production features exciting new work from professional choreographers Amanda Trusty, Debra McGee, Miho Morinoue, Alexis Gaines, Andreas Tolaas, and junior choreographer, Grace Branham. Saturday evening’s performance will also boast pieces from choreographers and dancers all across the Big Island to celebrate the diversity of Hawai’i Island performing arts, including the breakdance community!
