Alexis Gaines

Miss Alexis has extensive training in multiple genres of dance, with ballet, jazz, and musical theater being her favorites. She has performed as a core and principal dancer with West Hawaii Dance Theatre, Palm Springs Ballet Company, College of the Desert Musical Theatre Company, The Michele Gaines Tribute Dancers, and Company Too. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUSB. In 2025, she founded Ka’ū Dance Academy where she trains dancers, and produces fun shows within the community. She is happy to be at Kona Dance And Performing Arts again where she has taught on and off from their first season. With years of teaching and choreography experience, Miss Alexis delights in sharing her love of dance while helping students build confidence.
