Ali Drummond

Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, pre-ballet

Ali Drummond is a dedicated and passionate director, dance instructor, choreographer, and educator. She began her training at an early age through pre professional institutions such as the Children’s Ballet Theatre, American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive Program, the Northeast Academy of Dance, and Happendance. Ali has performed biannually in full length classical ballets, such as The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Gaîté Parisienne, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty, performing lead roles such as the Rat King and Cinderella’s Ugly Stepsister. After attending Eastern Michigan University’s Dance Program, where she participated in intensive training and performed at the American College Dance Association’s Annual Festival, she moved on to work professionally as a Company Member for Fungirl Dance Company & School. Simultaneously, Ali served as both Instructor and Director for the Center for Dance & Movement at The Community House, a nonprofit organization over 100 years old. Works of Ali’s choreography have been performed professionally at Collective Sweat Detroit’s annual Birthday Party the Ypsi Dance Swap, where she accepted a choreographer's award. Ali is passionate about creating a safe, upbeat, and body positive space for students to learn, explore, dance, and grow.
