Maya Barnruther

Maya Barnreuther has been dancing with Kona Dance & Performing Arts for the past 10 years, where the studio has become a second home to her. She has trained in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop.

Maya is a graduate of Kealakehe High School and has been involved in Innovations Public Charter School’s Fine Arts Program as a choreographer for the past four years, helping create movement for their spring productions. Her recent choreography credits include Oliver! and Seussical the Musical at Aloha Theatre, with Seussical the Musical taking place over the summer.

She is grateful for the opportunity to step into a teaching role, share her love of dance with younger students, and give back to the studio community that has played such an important role in her life.
